The OPTIMAI project held its second-ever plenary from 1st – 2nd February 2022, marking the end of Year 1 of the project.
As the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic remain, all 16 OPTIMAI partner organisations came together in a virtual meeting across both days. With forty project members attending from all over Europe, hours of fruitful discussions took place. Each partner gave a presentation to the consortium about the progress made in their specific Work Packages and detailed what is yet to come within the short- and medium-term.
Alongside interesting insights about the technical, legal and ethical, and research aspects of the project, the consortium received an exciting update about the pilot sites. Depending on the global situation of the pandemic, OPTIMAI hopes to welcome partners to visit the pilot sites in the near future
There, consortium members will witness prototypes of OPTIMAI’s innovative Augmented Reality glasses, Digital Twinning technologies, and other solutions that are enabling the project to impact the next phase of the European Industrial Revolution.
OPTIMAI will hold its next plenary meeting in the spring of 2022, during the month of either April or May.
