Brief Biography of Partner
The Dept. of Energy Systems (UTH, Greece), was founded in 2019 as an affiliate of the University of Thessaly. It is the first -and currently the only- university dept. with special focus on energy systems and their applications. The Dept. offers a 4-year programme of studies that leads to a degree in Energy Systems, as well as a programme of doctoral studies. Although its operations started two years ago, the Dept. has already been awarded with one European and three national scientific projects. Activities are supported by 10 faculty members and state-of-art laboratories.
Partner’s Role in the OPTIMAI project
UTH will be actively involved in the Design and Development of AI modules for quality control towards Zero-Defect Manufacturing (ZDM), and the research and design of models for digital twins of individual production phases and manufacturing outcomes.
